With call centers and other customer service related jobs, many Americans don't really get the point why companies would hire people from other countries to serve American customers. Offshore outsourcing can be good for companies but it will create a big damage to American economy. If more companies will decide to outsource from low cost countries, it could only mean that more Americans will lose their jobs and the unemployment rate could rise. These people will then settle for jobs that offer low payment and compensation just to have a source of income to feed their families and use for their daily expenses. America has been known to give utmost importance to safety and security. But not all countries have the same level of value for these things. Some countries don't even care about safety or security and they are just focused on making some money and on increasing their profits. Outsourcing the job from these countries could only mean that American companies are willing to compromise safety and security just to save money and gain more profits.
